A while ago I posted a thread describing how when I accelarate hard and reach a certain rev range (about 7 - 8k) on my FZS600 it very briefly drops power a bit
almost as though it was a misfire. Originally I thought it was the clutch slipping but am sure it&#39;s not that now.

<p>My bike (600 fzs  51 reg 29000mls)  is running  OK at idle but on opening the throttle it is sluggish as 2 &amp; 3 cylinders not firing propel but if keep
feathering or keep it open it will then pick up &amp; pull right through but if you shut off then try to open it up again it&#39;s sluggish lacks power but

			<title><![CDATA[ Carb icing, mis-firing, poor running and needing lots of TLC - Advice please? ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>Right then, over the last few weeks the bike has started to feel a little poorly. I know the carbs need balancing big time but the weather has prevented me
doing this for a while now. Anyway, this Tuesday the bike started mis-firing and stalling. I suspected carb-icing considering it was the day after the frost
and all the symptoms were exactly as per the carb-icing bit on HOT POOP (ie, mis-firing, leave the bike for a few mins and it&#39;s fine then mis-fires again

<p>As you might know .. I&#39;m known as Polar Bear ... I got the name in the Navy, when doing a 9 month Ice Diving shift way up above the Arctic Circle.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve been back up there several times since .. Whale Watching, Polar Bear Watching, Husky Dog Safari&#39;s and so on. I love the place .. but I&#39;m

sweet, so I took it for a hurl to get some fuel and noticed the oil light was on.  This was quite alarming so I turned round took it back to the garage and

All good so far, sump plug out (with a bit of welly) and plugs are easy as pie, just got a problem removing the oil filter.

It&#39;s at the front of the engine (as usual) so it&#39;s been exposed to all sorts of crap, it looks like it&#39;s been on there for about 6 years (really)
and it just won&#39;t shift.

I had to replace the clutch lever but since  then I&#39;ve struggled to adjust it. I&#39;ve realised now that the the cable is &#39;sticky&#39; and appears to

plate would`nt come out even with loads of heat had to take it to work and drive it out in a fly press but in doin so ive bent the end plate so if i can`t
straighten it does anyone know where i can get another one ive rang a few bike breakers but no joy
