Following advice on the forum, I purchased a fuel tank from a 2001 FZS1000 to put on my 1998 FZS600 so that I could have the extra 2 litres. The replacement
is about 3 inches short for the mountings as the tank is not as long as the original. Is there anything I can do or get that will help it fit?

I also purchased a tank from a 2004 model but that does not fit at all and looks as though I will have to resell it.

Any advice on how to fit the 2001 tank?
