Monorack Arms for a Fazer FZS 1000 2004

Yesterday I went to Hein Gerike to purchase some monorack arms for my new
Fazer Thou 2004, I asked if they would for my M5 plate from my Fazer 600
2003 and I got a yes, yes they will. I collected said arms today after being suprised
how quickly they where delivered. The looked a bit diffrent but I though ah it's
just probably because its a Thou not a 600. I got home and started fitting the arms
they go onto the frame fine but the bit that holds the plate is at a...

Carbon Fibre Side Covers

Hi guys this is my first time on here so please bear with me. I'm looking for 2 carbon fibre side panels. To be specific they are to replace the two small plastic parts that are fixed directly onto the frame (below the tank). Anybody know where I can get these from? Got lots of carbon fibre on my bike and these are the two parts I'm missing. Check out the pic of my bike in my profile and let me know what you think.

A stupid question about K and N air filters

Hi all
I know there has been much discussion about K and N air filters but I just would like some reassurance.
I have a FZS600 2003 foxeye, last of the carbs, model. Just changed the oil and oil filter and was thinking what if i bung a K and N air filter in without changing anything else.
Bike is completely bog standard exhaust is original.
Bike is running perfectly well but is due for an air filter. If i put a K and N filter in will it totally cock the running up if i...

Dynojet kit?

Hello, I know this has probably been discussed before, but I have a question about putting dynojet kit on a 99 fazer 600. I know mostly its said fazers run rich enough as standard to get away not rejetting if you add cans and filters. But I have a scorpion can (baffle removed) with delkevic 4-1 downpipes. My bike runs lean (it pops on deceleration) so I was thinking about a stage 1 dynojet kit. If I fitted one I would also fit a k and n air filter. This might also help clean up the lower revs...

Hi,
Just done a 200 mile round-trip on my fzs 600 (01).
Last 60 mile of m-way at 80 - 90 and the wind noise and buffeting pissed me off! (with ear-plugs)
New AGV helmet is no quieter than my cheap Syko.
Suspect screen , as standing up on pegs reduces noise.(I'm 5' 10'')
Any tips on different screens or any other solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Will a Fazer 1000 front mudguard easily fit a 2001 FZS 600 (square headlamps)

I want to fit a Fazer 1000 front mudguard to my 2001 FZS 600. There are a number for sale on ebay in various states of disrepair. What model years should I look for?

On the FZS 600 the front mudguard is bolted to the inside of the fork leg. I assume the Fazer 1000 must be similar but I am unable to see how this is achieved from any pictures that I have found on the internet.

Can anybody advise if I need special fixings to attach the Fazer 1000 mudguard to the FZS 600...

How easy would it be to put FZ1 handlebars on to a '03 FZS600.

Are they the same diameter and fit the original risers
Would the 600 switch gear, levers etc fit
....and do they come in matt/satin black or are they all 'metallic grey'

If all answers are Yes - any got some laying around?

I have had a viper race can on my 99 600 fazer for quite some time now and the noise was becoming annoying . Thinking to fit a viper decibel killer kit I temporily removed viper can and refit standard yamaha can. Only to find that the bike now really flies, at least up to about 7000 revs much better! ,lots quicker throttle responce! This quite supprrised me , As I always thought that the early fazer ran rich and I was led to believe that a after market can would be better for power .Not...

i know anything but white is illegal but are they bright enough compared to the original bulb for the side light? Also are yellow bulbs legal?

i realise this topic has probably been battered to death by now but, i love my gen1 600 fazer apart from the dip light which as we all know is shit! Quick question.... what is the brightest whitest bestest direct replacement bulb you can buy that won't burn out or discolour the surround? Thanks... also which is the best that halfords sell cos i dont have many bike shops near me? Cheers matt

Had an idea a while ago to do this. Don't really want to chop the standard subframe, but don't want to move the clocks if I can help it (I'm fussy, I know)

Has anyone done anything similar before or does anyone have any suggestions? Getting a new subframe made up is easier said than done too since my pet engineer and new fairing haven't seen each other.

Oxford Heated Grips

Last summer i fitted some heated grip bought from J&S accesories, they worked great
for 2 trips then I started having problems. The problems where intermittent and diffrent
most times and the sometime it would work normally. The problems are listed below ...

1) The grips wouldn't switch on, and the control unit lights wouldn't turn on.
2) All the lights came on in the control unit and wouldn't change or turn off and the grips were not actually heating,...

Combo Tail, Stop & Indicator

Hi All. Just got round to uploading some pics of the combo tail light I fitted recently. Made by CLEAR ALTERNATIVES P/n CTL-0101-IT. You can get these in different lense colors too. I picked the clear. Not too hard to install. After a bit of swearing as I tried to get the top rear section off the bike. otherwise its impossoble to take the rear light out @#%$^#^#^#$!!
I had my girlfriend follow me home the other night ( as they do ) :-) and she said the light assy works great. Warning....

FZ6 Bars on my '07 FZ1

I fitted 2007 - 2009 FZ6/NH bars and had no hassles. I wanted a bar that was a little higher than stock. ALL wires and holes went the distance. I had to run the clutch cable through the wire hole closest to the frame as it had a tighter bend in the hole it was in before. The end weights screwed in ok. I had to drill a new hole for the kill / start switch though! As the switch has a plastic pin to stop it moving.
I did try birt bike bars but they were too high and the brake hoses were too...

I found the flash relay unit under the passenger seat on the rhs. This type of flaher runs in series with the indicators. It has no reference to ground (-).
