Should I stick with Bike Team or look elsewhere for a cheaper quote?

My renewal with Bike Team for my 04 Thou is 160.00. I'm 50, 8 years no claims, garaged, datatool vito evo, data tag + a road legal Carbon Can.

This is actually 3.00 cheaper than last year. Can't really be arsed to phone around or go on the comparison sites - any opinion if I'm going to find it cheaper elsewhere?

Insurance policy that covers any bike!

I have been doing some searching for a new insurance policy, but I can't find any information about how it works! I know that bike sure does it, does anyone have a policy that covers any bike?

2003 fzs1000 cheaper than a 2000 fzs600??

does anybody know why i get a cheaper quote for an FZS1000 fazer that's newer than my current FZS600?
i was just chucking stuff into gocompare and wondered what would be cheaper, a newer (08) 600 fazer or an older (03) 1000 fazer.
my current bike costs £230 to insure and gocompare told me the cheapest was £145 :S
i put in all the same details, only thing different is the bike...
any ideas?

My ebike insurance is due for renewal next month. Last year's premium was about 250 for my FZ1. Last year I wrote off the FZ1 (my fault) and was pleased to find the premium increased by about 30 when I insured the replacement new FZ1.

In March this year I got rear-ended resulting in only minor scratches to mirrors. However third-party driver made a claim against me. This is still shown as outstanding on the ebike site.

All that and me having protected 5+ years NCD has...

Dilema what to do?

Equity Red Star LONG POST, Be warned

At the moment I am insured with Equity Red Star and quite frankly they are foccin useless. Following my off in January they wrote my bike off (Cat D)and said that as it was a write off once I had accepted their compensation offer the Insurance would cease. Yup, didn`t have a problem with that.

So as requested I returned my cover not and got a cheque for the remainder of the compensation after I had bought the bike back, wanting to get the bike back on the road ASAP I re-insured the...

One of my mate's did his CBT last week and just bought a Thundercat as it was at a good price, only problem is I have to drive it back for him as he isn't allowed yet. Does anyone know of anywhere that do temporary insurance. Tried flexirider but have to be 25 and ebikeinsurance but have to own the bike to get cover...starting to look difficult to get cover for it to get it home for him

Ange m "the wife" has just tried out the new MCN insurance search engine,, cos they are offering a free mag if you get a qoute via them !!

Any way she put in all her details and it throw 3 qoutes up first one was for £106.06 bit high but not too bad,
the second was for £4568.90

the third was unreal £10049.07 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic, got a quote online - they called me up and asked if i was interested, i then told them i had a few modifications, they said none of what i had counted as a modification not even the End Can (cause was less then 5% power increase) so my premium was almost £100 less then Ebike Insurance AND i got the third party ride other bikes provision (Ebike dont offer that at all)

Very friendly customer service, bargain price and free Legal/Breakdown/EU cover etc

did the old online search for the bike and the renewal from MCE came in at £124 then direct choice came in at £94.50 this includes protected no claims and £500 worth of kit luggage etc , this is for an 05 fazer 1000 me 44 riding with 9 years no claims and bike garaged bloody good deal , matbe worth a look number is 0844 836 0836 , came through go-compare and the AA of all people .

Hi, just joined the forum after buying my first bike!! I am now the proud owner of a 2001 fazer 600 in gold and black. I do need to do a bit to the bike to make it perfect (i.e paint the engine fins black in places etc) I also need the original mirrors as the bike has add on mirrors which attach to the handle bars and the fairing mirrors are not attached so there are 2 ugly holes in the fairing.

Can anybody help me with the mirrors?

Also it would be great if i could have...
