Downpipes for 2003 FZS600

Hi all

First post here so hope someone can help!

My downpipes are shot and I"m looking at some used ones from a '99 model - will they fit or do I specifically need ones for a 2001 - 03 model?

hello again,

i have aquired a scorpion end and link pipe,

the bloke that owned my bike years ago (he sold it to the shop) called at the house and apart from panicing me a little said he had the can still as he had it fitted for 6 months.
offered it to me for the bargain price of .......20 quid!

anyway question is when i put this on is there anything else i need to do ? jetting etc?

I have a '03' reg Yamaha Fazer FZS 600. I was wondering about changing the end can from standard.

Would it make any difference and as a newbie to the world of biking I have no idea what makes etc to look for.

Anyone able to shed some light on what I should look for and what difference it would give me. Or is it purely cosmetic?

Some links etc would be great as I am sure there are good and bad ones out...

Scorpion can, fumes smell rich

Hi everyone, I'm a total.....errr....novice...... and I got my first bike a week or so ago, it's a FZS 600 1998, it came with a scorpion exhaust, it runs fine at any speed and any rpm sounds great but at idle it smells strong/rich like the choke is on, also the revs at idle are fluctuating by about 100rpm, I was told this was all down to the exhaust, just wondered what you foccers thought.... cheers

I'm looking to get some carbon cans for my 08 fz6, has any one got any tips or advice on buying some or anywhere i could get my hands on some, obviously i know there are the manufactures web sites but I was hoping to get some cheaper! ( well don't we al!).

Apologies if this subject has been done to death before (I searched this forum for exup and couldn't find anyting relevant).

I want to replace the standard exhaust on my 2007 FZ1S with a Quill (EVO2 or T3, not quite sure yet). This is my first Yam and so I know absolutely zero about exup valves. What I have read in various forums here about seized exups worries me (I am completely mechanically inept...

can anyone tell me why you have to remap or rejet when you get an exhaust mod & what would happen if you didn't remap or rejet.

Fitted me new Motad downpipes and new Beowulf Warrior can last Friday. Looks good and sounds fookin brilliant.

Do I need to rejet?

I'm putting the fazer back on the road after a couple of years in storage and I may have gone a bit OTT on upgrades..

On the engine side I've ordered some motad pipes, a beowulf can and a K+N air filter. I'm just wondering if all these will require the carbs to be rejetted?

Hi all, before i use the aforementioned shotgun on myself or a hapless passerby can any of you advise how i remove whats left of the snapped stud that holds the downpipes to the engine casing.

Before you all ask i read & re-read the posts on the subject of how to remove the downpipes as well as asking a few biker mates.
I used WD40 liberally over the last few days and 7 of the 8 nuts came undone perfectly. However the last, yes the last miserable

Im trying to work out which can to buy for my 08 FZ6 fazer, I want them to be road legal (i.e. removable baffles ) which sadly rules out 2bros. What sounds simmilar that you have heard for yourself? Devil are meant to sound pretty good, any info on remus? Cheers!

Which company ( I know everyone will have a different opinion) will probably have the best value for money i.e. quality finish/sound to money. I want to spend under 300 (though if there is a really good can thats a little more....) Also for slip on/ boltons do you have to tell your insurers? Cheers guys

If an exhaust has a sticker/label on it that has serial numbers and that e symbol followed by a number, does this mean it is road legal??

hi guys, just ordered a Fuel exhaust for my fazer thou. they get good reviews on thir site and they were a dream to deal with and they are a british company based in kendal , good price for stainless oval and link pipe £155 and £10 for delivery. all includes vat. let you know what its like when fitted

Delkevic End Cans - Opinions?

I like the look of their stainless steel end cans in 350mm length and so far their customer service has been excellent.

Anyone got experience of these guys and what the quality of their end cans are like? I'm after a deeper throatier sound because tbh the standard can sounds like a hairdryer on my FZS600 Fazer! Doing this on a budget so came down to either these or Fuel exhausts but the Fuel exhausts don't have removable baffles on their budget range and start at £30 more...
