Well i was told by the salesman not to go above 4500 rpm for the first 500 miles i've now done 220 miles,did everyone on here follow that guidline to the letter when they bought new?i did just nudge 6000 rpm today(i was a bit keen getting away from the lights) opps!

'Wife of' was having problems with a company she had ordered kit from so asked me to talk to them.

I told the lass on the phone i had demanded some kit, i then gave her the demand number (we demand kit in the forces, as an order is something totally different), she didn't understand what i meant by demand, 'wife of' is chuckling and whispering, 'its called an order', so i said the order number to the girl, i then spelt the code out phonetically, Oscar,...

Ive cracked my front fairing and was thinking of getting repaired but probably less hassle to leave the front fairing off, so I was wondering if any of you guys have done this and bolted on a new headlight and if anyones got any pics.

the wife and I are sick of the Midlands , the rat race , running round like ants etc , although we have a nice home in a lovely area , we have had enough !

we love Scarborough , we have been looking for houses in this area , and fancy anywhere nice , small villages etc , not too far away from the town . reckon we could live a lot cheaper up there and start to live , not work to...

A year or two ago my daughter was involved in an online argument on MSN. She'd fallen out with one of her mates and they were slagging each other off electronically. The language was a bit choice. It came as a bit of a shock to think that my cute little 13yr old knew those words. However, the matter was eventually resolved. We closed her MSN account. She was grounded etc.

We let her back on MSN a few months ago. We've now discovered she's been having sexually explicit...

I have decided to fit an alarm to my garage,as i have 240 volt in the garage can anyone recomend a mains powered alarm system either keypad operated or a key fob type which has a very loud alarm[so i can go and play with my baseball bat].There are loads on the market but don't really know which to go for. went to the NEC on sat with the wife , and had a good time . could'nt believe Honda were'nt there , and Ducati's stand .

anyway got a good RST textile jacket and some new gloves sold to me by Taylor Mckenzie and what a nice helpful lad he is .

begged a signed and dedicated to us book off jamie whitham on the visordown stand . even though he charged me a quid more for it than on the back of the book

the other day i had to take the kids to grandma's so i went in the car.......yes i know that's quite worrying in itself but while i was trundling along a dual carraigeway at 74mph (gps speed) i suddenly noticed a traffic cop about quarter mile up the road.
nothing behind me so i hit the brakes and carried on at a more sedate 65ish mph until i tootled past him
normally i'd have thought i'd got away with it but the bugger kept his camera trained on me for the whole...

Road Safety Week

Our unit had a road safety week last week. Some of us were dicked to take part with no notice.

You had to do a theory test computer based as per normal driving theory test, followed by a first parade of a vehicle (19 point check) followed by a 40 min driving evaluation!!!

37 out of 40 on my theory, first parade not a drama, and only 3 minors on my drive. Not applying my handbrake when sat in traffic, closing too fast on round abouts and driving with only one hand on the...

Enjoyable weekends riding.

Nowhere special, local areas, odd jobs etc but clocked up 200 miles this weekend.

Bit cold and wet yesterday, took me lad out on his bike for a couple of hours, then out on my own today, bit breezy mind, bike blowing around alot on the A303. Even getting caught in the rain didn't ruin it, though not too many other bikes about.

Looking to do a oil filter and oil change this week and need a new front tyre soon. MOT in Jan.
