Bike cutting out in the cold

Hi

This is the first winter I have had my 05 FZ6. It seems to have developed a problem of cutting out in the cold in a situation were the throttle is not on such as at lights or in traffic. I can manage it to a certain extent by keeping the throttle partially open but it's getting to be a bit of a problem.

Does any one no if this is a common problem with the bike or any ideas how to cure it.

Does anyone know if FZ1 handlebars fit a FZ6?

I fancy having a go with flatter bars so I am canted slightly further forward.

Other options are renthals I suppose.

How much to replace my spare black key for my 2005 Fazer FZ6-S ?

I just lost the spare black key but I still have the other black key and the red one.

I understand that I need to buy a new black key and get it cut and coded by a local (London) dealer. I assume this is easy but will cost me an arm and a leg. How much is it likely to cost please ?

FZ6 head bearing

I am the proud owner of an '06 FZ6 Fazer. I have a recurring problem with the head bearing. The bike failed its MOT in the summer due to excessive movement in the head bearing, this only appeared in the fore and aft direction. I went to a friend and we tightened it up, retested the bike and it passed. This weekend I tested the head bearing (bike on centre stand, pull forks backwards and forwards) and sure enough there is movement again. Two questions:

Hi all,i have just "upgraded " my bike from a gsxr 750 which was a blisteringly fast bike and had great handling but was damned uncomfortable on a daily commute, to a fz6s '59 it is a great bike but i find the rear a bit soft,i see you can adjust the rear suspension.i weigh 15 1/2 stone and wonder if i should adjust the shock up fully or just use trial and error

Altering the rear brake lever on a Fazer 600

Hi There everyone.
Wondered if anyone can help here. I have a Fazer 600 on an 08 plate. I find the rear brake lever too high for my right foot (anyone else found this???) anyway,does anyone know if its possible to alter the rear brake to a more comfortable angle? Advice most welcome. Many thanks

Hi co-owners of a Fazer FZ6-S2.

After already having driven 17,000 km on my newly bought Fazer FZ6-S2 (built 2007),
I would like to know some information from co-owners of this beautiful bike.
When during a 5-minutes ride on this bike in the approximately 50 km/h or lower speed,
the temperature of the coolant is reaching the 100/101 degrees, and the fan will activate,
which again lowering the temperature to 90 degrees (Celsius).
Especially in a city...

My 2006 Fz6 frame has snapped!!! Urgent advice needed.

The bike is a 2006 (56) so out of warranty, anyone had anything like this?

Is it something I could claim on my insurance for? Hasn't happened in an accident or anything, bike hasn't been dropped ever, I've owned it from new.

Noticed it about 20 minutes ago, while putting the bike away, no idea how it's happened, or how long it's been there.

Thing is, I've fully comp insurance, but it runs out tonight at 00.00, so I'll need to be quick...

I would be grateful of any recommendations for replacing my twin underseat cans with a system that sounds good (to let drivers know I'm coming when filtering!), yet is road legal, does not require a fuel system re-map and either improves or does not affect current performance?

I know it's a big ask, but if anyone can recommend anything, it'd be a real help.

Advice Needed -> Running in an FZ6 S2

Hi all,
I'm hoping some of you guys can give me the benefit of your wisdom.

I came off my FZ6 S2 with only about 250 miles on the clock (Doh!) and broke my collar bone. There is only really superficial damage thankfully, dent in the tank and scuffed engine casing and a wee scuff on the frame. Obviously I can't get on the foccer for at least 6 weeks, but the dealer said I should bring the bike in for its first service either after 600 miles or 6 weeks, which ever comes...

Hi all. Could anyone recommend a good rear paddock stand for my 2004 FZ6. Extra virtual pint for recommending a good cheapish set.

It will mainly be used for long storing periods and light maintenance/cleaning. I would like to avoid paying too much for it.

Woo new bike, just put down the deposit on a nice blue FZ6-S! Now I'm deciding what kind of crash protection I should fit - has anyone got any pics of an FZ6 with some mushrooms or engine bars fitted? It would be really good to see an example before going one way are the other. Used to have the Renntec bars on my FZS600, but I'm not sure the same arrangement would look so good on an FS6.
