Took the bike in for a MOT this morn & the garage told me the national database is down for all MOT's - leave it with us, may need to keep it overight
due to the backlog..... not the first time it's happened apparently - cue old boy mechanic walking round swearing at modern technology

i want them to be able to record the failure properly 
lets see if fixing the exhuast with speed tape is passable

Nah, the network has been playing up for days, I did two MOTs yesterday and they took ages to book in and print off.

No probs down this end, a mate who is a mechanic and helping me out with a bit of work did 3 yesterday and 2 today.

So now the problem is passed on to the workshop , all the booking in and hold ups , the customer has to return , meanwhile somewhere in D.O.T or DVLA, theres
some officials sat on there arses , having a extra cup of tea.
Do there reimburse you Deefe or any garages or customers or have to return , book it back in and take time of whatever it is they do , Mmmmm i know what the answer is already i think.

Was working up here (Newcastle) this morning, a mate got her GSXR done no problem.
Which amazed us all, as its a dog - the bike, that is! The tester just laughed when he saw it, but try as he might, could find nowt wrong

I thought that they had a paper based fail back option where the MOT station could play catchup when the systems came back on line.
