1x right-angled 8mm un-insulated 10amp rated crimp connector.
1 metre 8 amp rated multi stranded cable
insulation tape
1x pair(male and female)insulated bullet type connectors.
1) remove seat and disconnect battery
2) remove fuel tank- lift front end of tank to allow access to turn off fuel tap and disconnect pipes.
3) unclip top of black electrical connections box.
4) trace left hand bar switch loom down to connection box and locate BLUE 6 wire connector block.
5) note only five wires are connected on the mating half of the connector block, the unconnected GREEN wire from the left hand bar switch is the dip beam supply.
6) at the rear of the headlight that only works on high beam, unplug the headlight connector plug.Note that that there are three connector pins on the bulb and only two used in the connector plug.
7) unclip the connector back cover and use the right angled 8mm 10amp rated connector .
9) push the connector with the wire into the vacant space in the headlight connector block replace the cover and push back onto the headlight bulb.
10) run the cable to the black electrical connections box under the tank following the existing loom. Tape or zip tie to loom.
11) the cable can now be cut to length, ensure there is enough to provide a small loop inside the connector box.
12) the end of the cable can now be connected to the unused GREEN wire from step 5. Cut the green wire and using the bullet type connectors connect the green wire to the new wire from the headlight.
13) close up the black box, refit tank making sure all pipes are connected properly turn fuel back on, reconnect battery (make sure no petrol vapours are present) due to possible arcing of battery.
14) replace seat
