Anyone got them on a FZS600?
Can't see them listed anywhere and on the Michelin web site the tyre selector chart doesn't show it for the FZS600.

Michelin Pilot Road 2 on FZS600 |

Do they make a "Pilot Road 2" in 110/70 ZR17 size to suit the 600 Fazer? (The dual compound one)

Use the following link - you will then need to click on the sizes drop down list. They definitely do the the 110 front as I had a pair fitted to my FZS600 last
Saturday. Initial impressions are that they are great - IMO better than the Metzler Z6 & Bridgstone BT-020 I've had on before. Somehow they make the
bike feel light on it's 'feet', turn is great and it seems to need less input to make it turn. No problems with running them in or grip so far
(I've done a couple of hundred miles on them).
Don't for get the Michelin £20 petrol offer if you buy a pair before the end of May. http://two-wheels.michelin.com/2w/front/affich.jsp?codeRubrique=2092004104045&codePage=2092004104045_13032007105938&lang=EN |

so far so good. They don't look mint but have plenty left on both tyres. Reckon there are good for at least another 3-4K

Got a pair of the Michelin Pilot road 2 tyres today for the FZS600. £205.51 fitted to loose wheels with new valves and balanced from Sharples Tyres at Swinton.
(They used to be at Bolton but have now moved to the Wardley industrial estate at Swinton). Only done about 60 miles on them but after getting used to that
strange sensation of new tyres they feel pretty good to me. I hope not to be commenting on such things as limit of grip etc, since I try not to venture into
that territory if I can help it!

Killed the rear after 5000 miles courtesy of a bleeding nail. Got another Pilot road 2 CT fitted today

Condolences on the nail misfortune Andy, guess we'll have to wait a bit longer to see how long they last without punctures. Received my Sainsbury vouchers
while I've been away, four £5 vouchers. It says on the back to enter a Nectar card number, but since I don't have one I hope that's not compulsory!

Would anyone honestly rate them as better than Bridgestone BT020/021? I have used these tyres since i got the Fazer and have found them to be brilliant for
grip, performance and durability
But i am always looking for something better |

Problem is with tyres it's all a matter of opinion, as feel is fairly subjective, and depends how you use them. Most of my mileage is 2-up commuting on a
FZS600 12 miles A road and 5 miles town work each way every day in all seasons. First I had BT020's liked the feel but found the rear squared off easily.
Tried Z6's liked them more (they weren't any worse than the BT020's and were cheaper) and the rear stayed in shape better, though tended to kill
the right side of the front. Generally getting 5k to a rear and 10k to a front.
Now had PR2's for 1200 miles, so can't comment on wear, grip and feel is great - better than the Z6 and BT020's (never tried 021's). The bike feels really light on it's 'feet' and changes direction easily. I won't ever claim to be quick on a bike but with the PR2's I have lost the hero blobs (touched them down so many times the threads are knackered so they fall out) and will soon need some new toe sliders on my Alpinestars. With the PR2's I find the bike feels completely planted, wet or dry, that allows me to lean the bike right over. I'm definitely a big fan and will be sticking (no pun intended) with them until something newer and better comes out. |

well i'm sold to be honest.
My 021's are both in brilliant condition so wont be swapping them out for quite some time but i think i am going to take the plunge and get the PR2's and see how i feel (Fazed 600 definetely sold them well) |

I've generally gone with reviews on this site as well and so far so good BT020-Z6-PR2's - will stick with the Michelins unless something better comes
along.
Try them through Cheddar Gorge...... |

I've just had a rear PR2 fitted and done 200 miles. I think I feels better than the 020, but am I just imagining because I have read good reviews?
Clearly comparing a brand new tyre to a squared-off tyre is always going to feel much better. I am yet to put a new front on. Will I feel more difference from that, say in cornering? |

A fresh front should feel better as this won't be squared off. Tend to find with a squared off tyre it takes more effort to turn, then the bike leans past
the squared off section then practically seems to fall over. Also the front and rear from the same company should be a better match.
I find the bike turns in easily on the PR2 and I am fairly sure the initial feel / turn in is mainly due to the front, particularly if you use a lot of front brake. I guess the rear comes into play more, in terms of feel, when gassing up the bike (transferring the weight to the rear) on the exit. Feel is subjective so 'feel' free to disagree! |

I'm planning on replacing my BT57's at the end of the summer - intending on putting on Mitchelin Pilots - all the discussion above is on the Road
version, has anybody used the sports version?

Polipoos:quick question why do you need the sports version? Do you do track days? I don't think for road use the Fazer needs more than the PR2 - especially
as you haven't got sportsbike level of ground clearance anyway.

Got to be careful with sportier tyres designed for the track as they can take longer to warm up than road tyres.
