I've been thinking of changing the can because my mate who I ride with has an XJR1300 with an uprated zaust and it sounds awesome. Plus some of those
carbon looking ones look good. Will I

a) Highly unlikely and if you are that concerned just keep the Standard one in the Garage (which is what i have done - wrapped in clingfilm)
b) Yes and Yes - not by a great deal mind you, my Beowulf Warrior end can only cost £15 to declare - DEFINTELY tell them will void an entire claim for 1 mod undeclared potentially c) No, not really, unless of course you remove the baffle/have a full blown racing can on there |

Thanks for the pic. Looks good. Sounds good too? How come you keep your spare exhaust in clingfilm? Is that just to keep the moisture out?

Yeah pretty much, as its in storage just figured would take extra care just in case, also to stop insects or whatever from getting in the 2 holes either side
of the open exhaust.
It sounds fantastic, really raspy and deep even with the baffle in, haven't taken baffle out as apparently voids warranty on the baffle only (not silencer). And i like my bike to be road legal as dont want to deal with headache of being pulled over |
