Grroucho n bizz are normally out most weds nights, i'm sure they will be along soon to say when n where? I cant make this weds, but may be out thurs night
or sunday morning for a blast round will post on here if that helps? Where in the east mids are you?

I did the old" melton loop" on sunday - it was a fantastic day - perfect weather for me. I enjoyed just shooting the breeze, cruising at 80 ...that
road can be quite dangerous at big speeds.There are loads of hidden crossroads just waiting to catch the unwary out. There are some awesome flat out stretches
though ! Plenty of bikes out too...though the road was blocked near Rutland Water , which caused me to discover the oakham bypass , which cuts off some nice
bits just north of the town, so not recommended.
my route - rugby to market harborough A427...take bypass past Mcd and the texaco garage towards corby....turn sharp left to Uppingham B6047, a lovely country route with some sharp corners......at uppingham poss stop for coffee at HD dealer...then north to Oakham on A6003, including a full throttle downhill bit ( watch out for speed traps)leading onto one of the best sweepers ever which is now sadly a 40 mph limit ( I can do it at 90 ! )....through Oakham towards Melton mowbray . A very fast stretch of road with some blind crests, so take care. I then shortcut the town via norfolk drive to get onto the B6047 all the way back to market harborough and astop at mcd or the petrol station! This is one of the best roller coaster roads ever  .. do take care as I said above...... .but give it a whirl

I do ride mostly westwards towards wales ( the lure of the hills ! ) ...but if the sun is out eastwards , I do have several routes I use. The melton loop is great for me cos it is a fairly compact but challenging route, I can ride it and get back home in a hour or so.. I used to do a lot of trackdays at cadwell, and love the run up to there, plus I visited east kirkby airfield a few times. I picked up a route around Bourne from Bike magazine back in 1998 I think which is another great "loop".....but am always on the lookout for more!
One of these days I will try the Bike 440 ...if I ever get enuff time ! I have not really been on a run with east mids foccers, but if you have one, let me know and I will try and come along . cheers Jon

Allright bastids,the Grouch is back!
(Sick of tryin to get rid of foccin Yuku pop-ups!) Yup,we will be out wednesday if anyone wants to play,not bothered for last 2 weeks as weather been pretty crap,but this week looks good. Time we got Naked out again (if we can tear him away from his fave porn site--"Sheep in the raw" I think its called! (Suppose thats why he,s a Rams fan,cus of the sheep!) Heard he,s got a new race-can that goes "Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Badger,might have known you would dive in when OMF mentioned food!
Yeh prob at chippy about 9 to 9-30 all being well. However,me and Bizz have to got to Cardiff tommorow,but hoping to get back before 5 so should be OK. Called in at MFN last week after going on a photo shoot. Foccin hot dogs £2-50! reckon the guy thinks he,s at Donnington!
