Ive really found the FOC a huge help so thank you all. Unfortunately I'm moving overseas for the next year, so have had to force myself to sell my fazer1000 (probably the worst thing I've ever had to do!). Ive had the best year with her and have been everywhere from Ireland to the Highlands to France, Italy and Croatia and even to Knockhill, as well to to and from work almost every day last year - what a great bike!!!! The bikes gone (until I get back and get another one!) but Ive got lots of the extras that I'd put on the bike, and I could really do with some cash. The bits are all packaged up and ready for posting, but I thought I'd offer them to you before putting them on ebay! The following bits and bobs are for sale. I would be happy to describe them in detail or send photos to anyone that is interested. Akrapovic Carbon Hexagonal Cone Exhaust (road legal with removable baffle) with link pipe for FZS1000 03-05 (£380 new) - scuff on front side of can where it joins the link pipe and the akra sticker is coming off a little. Comes with all mounting springs and carbon fibre exhaust hanger. Great can and great noise, but nice and quiet when you dont want numb eardrumbs or grannies having heart attacks around town! Almost quiet as stock with the baffle in and a quiet burble under 5-6k (baffle out!) but that great akra wail after that! Akrapovic link pipe (Akra Hex Carbon Can) for Yamaha Fazer 1000 (03-05) (£70 new) Pyramid black hugger for Yamaha FZS1000 (03-05) with front lip to protect rear shock (£85 new) - few small stone chips and one chip on the huggers rear edge Zero Gravity double bubble screen (light smoke) for Yamaha Fazer 1000 (03-05) (£60 new) - as new MRA Vario Screen (light smoke) for Yamaha Fazer 1000 (03-05) (£87 new) - small scratch at the top from tomtom mounting Givi luggage mounting system (Monorack arms with Monokey plate and Tubular side case holders (£196 new) - good condition with all bolts etc (came off the bike and straight into the box!) Oberon Bar ends (black, anodised) to fit renthal bars (£20 new) -as new Standard FZS1000 bar ends (black) - slightly scuffed Standard FZS1000 grips Ive also got some FZ6 stuff from the bike I had before the fazer1000: Remus Revolution GP Oval Carbon Exhaust (road legal with removable baffle) for FZ6 (£450 new) - very good condition with a small scuff on the remus badge Motad decat link pipe for FZ6 (removes catalytic converter) (£67 new) - as new Hope that makes someones day! feel free to email me on andrewvandermerwe@hotmail.com if you have any questions or want photos. The screen was only used for about 3 weeks when I was touring round France and Italy this summer and is still in its original packaging so its as new apart from the small scratch I mentioned on it. MRAs are £95 including postage so how does £45 sound? The postage would cost me £5 (sending it first class post and excluding the packaging etc) so £50 posted or £45 if you collect it...I can meet you at South Queensferry cos It'll be easier than you trying to find me! Also email me if you want some photos of it....its boxed up and ready to go but I can just whip it out and take some photos! Would you consider splitting the Givi rack. I'm not interested in panniers but thought a rack might be useful. Don't know too much about them. Would that one take any top box including the one's that can be quickly removed with a key? Any pics would be useful. Does it replace the grab rails? The givi rack does replace the grab rails..its attached at the same points as the grab rails are. Just take the seat off and undo the 4 hex bolts holding the grab rails on, put the givi arms and plate together loosly, slip the arms into the gaps where the grab rails were attached and retighten with hex bolts (before tightening up the rack). Doesnt take long and all the nuts and bolts are on the rack already. Dont think theres any difference between the 2001 and 2003-5 bikes but I would just check...maybe pop into your local HG and ask them to call the Givi people to find out! As I mentioned in your email (and Im not just trying to sell all the bits...although that would be nice ) i would get it all as the side rails are really useful when youre using soft panniers (and there will come the time when you will....so have a think cos theyre expensive to buy new (about 97 quid)! The Akra carbon hex cone pipe is £380 new and is a cracking pipe....I though long and hard about all the other options before I bought it, and I loved it every minute I had it on the bike. Akra cans really are the business....from the rediculously low weight (2.5kg I think) to the springs that hold it on to the carbon fibre and the fact that its actually an all titanium can with a cf skin....It looks great on the bike and sounds perfect! (didnt even do my ears in when I was touring, but it did sound AMAZING in the tunnels round Genoa!)....just a pity theyre so rediculously expensive....but worth it I think if you spend lots of time on the bike. Also, Akra build and tune their cans specifically for the bike, so the bike will still run properly, with no flat spots or roughness...and no need to rejet! As I mentioned, its a little scuffed at the front of the pipe where the the metal of the can meets the link pipe. I though £180 was a fair price ( / complete bargain ha ha!), as the can was only on the bike for 3 or 4 months (so the packing is still like new) and apart from the scuff is in very good nick. Here are some photos of the can on the bike (it even looks good with that stupid amount of luggage!) Cheers Andrew

Hope that helps Andrew HI guys, I've got a Givi Monokey on my Fazer, if the chap really doesn't want the side racks I'd be happy to take them off you if the price is right? I'm off to the Bol D'or next month (with soft panniers very similar to yours Andrew) and these might make life easier! That pipe does look nice too but I think I'll get slapped by 'er indoors if I start buying more bits

Theyre £109 new so you can have them for £55. We can work out postage etc closer to the time if you do want them.....i should really have come shopping here at the FOC first as it would have saved me a fortune!!!! The side racks definately make life easier - they also give you something to fasten those funny useless straps on the oxford panniers to...so if your velcro comes undone then they wont go flying off on a French motorway at 100mph....also keeps them in place and keeps them from wrecking the finish on the back end of the bike (and it means that you can take your seat off to get to anything youve got under there without having to take the paniers off and then put them on doing some silly velcro balancing act! Extremely jealous about your trip (I cant get enough of getting the bike on ferries!) and being away on the fazer!!!! Well, if you can sedate the missus long enough to get the can on the bike and fire it up you should be ok....its music even to the most unsympathetic ears!.....otherwise someone will come to their senses soon and buy it! (i hope!)....otherwise just buy her one and then she'll understand! lol!! let me know what you decide and Ill let you know what happens my end. cheers andrew
