On my way to work this morning the Engine Mgt Light came on and the error code is 42
Any ideas what that means? Is it safe to ride it back home? Roughly 20miles? Thanks |

HI,
code 42 refers to a problem with either the speed sensor or the neutral switch, shouldnt do any harm until you get it sorted. PM me your email address and I'll sent you a copy of the service manual. cheers Gnasher |

and thats why i love owners clubs, guy worrying, 40 mins later and worrie is put to rest.

OK fixed and code cleared! bloody thing! left this morning from home and had disconnected my speedo healer so there was no reading on the speedo........10miles
down the road the code decided to show up with the light on.
put it on the double stand run the engin to get some reading on the speedo, run it through the gears and it's sorted........phew!!! |
