The collar only passes thru the right hand anchor point on the swinging arm, it should just be an inteference fit. When the bolt is tightened the collar will
just butt up to the left anchor point. It is a strange set up and different from the earlier fazers. This means you just have to free the collar where it
passes thru the right anchor point. There is usually a bit of corrosion here so squirt some penetrating oil or wd40 on the join. If I remember correctly there
is about 10mm of collar protruding on the right hand side. With the bolt removed grip the protruding collar with some mole grips and gradually twist to break
the join. You should then be able withdraw the collar. The end of the collar may be marked where you have used the mole grips, this is not a problem, just
remember to replace the collar the same way round that you removed it as this is the bush on which the needle bearings on the bottom of the shock run.
Use plenty of copaslip grease when replacing the collar. Hope this helps |

It is soaking in WD40 as we speak, I thought that that was as it was but i need to give it a bit more effort. |
