or is he?
At the begining of the year when we had all the snow he drove into the office in his Range Rover. On his way (about 9am) he stopped to give someone a tow as they were stuck. As he was towing them, they hit another car. Brother stopped, disconnected rope and asked if his details were needed. They were not so he left.
A couple of months later her got the "name and shame" letter from the plod stating a place that was about 1/2 a mile from where the incident occured but at 8am.
He returned the document saying that at 8am his car was parked on his drive (it was) with no driver but if he can help any further to let him know. The muppet used the pre-paid envelope to send it back rather than use a registered or recoreded delivery.
Fast forward another few months and he gets a summons for failing to stop and failing to report an accident. He queried this and th ecourt date was bought forward by a month with a differnt charge of failing to provide details. He had his first appearance last week and the case has been reshceduled for November now as he pleaded not guilty.
There does appear to be some discrpencies with this case.
First, he did send the letter back.
Second they say he failed to respond to two requests but he only recieved one (which he did respond to).
It looks like (as he was using a rope to tow) he did not actually comit an offence that can have the deails requested by post as the towed vehicle was not mechanically disabled it needed to have it's own insurance etc.
What do you think? My brother works for me. Do I need to start looking for a replacement?
